POPFest was an event designed to showcase 5 years of the POP project, timed to coincide with London Design Week in September and held in the River Rooms of Somerset House, London. It featured a daytime international networking symposium with local and international special guests and an evening public showcase of talks, performances, short film showing convertible costume catwalk and launch of the our new edited collection “Wearable Utopias” (MIT Press). POPFest ended at the V&A’s Digital Design Weekend where we tested an experimental side-project: Speculative Sewing AI.
